I received a couple of reports over the weeked that TracFone Promo Code 56617 had expired. One reader reported that TracFone told him it expired on July 15. That's too bad because this was a good one, giving 60 free minutes on a 60 minute card. Since It was time to add airtime to my wife's TracFone Motorola V170 anyway, I decided to buy 60 minutes from the TracFone website and see if the reports were true.
As expected, 56617 gave me an error message saying that it had expired, but I also came across two surprises. The first surprise was that 50722 also gave me an error message saying that it has expired. Yikes, this was another TracFone promo that gave 60 free airtime minutes on a 60 minute card.
The second surprise, however, was more pleasant. Not only did TracFone promo code 53322 work, it gave me 120 free minutes instead of the advertised 60 free airtime minutes. I have no idea why it did that, but I'll take it!
The whole process of adding the airtime went very smoothly, and the minutes and extended due date were on my phone within 30 seconds of my purchasing them.
Anyway, I've updated the TracFone promo code list below, moving 56617 and 50722 to the recently expired section. Since I don't know for sure that 53322 will give 120 free minutes every time, I'm going to leave it as showing 60 free minutes.

- Always add your airtime on the TracFone website when using promo codes so that you get a 2nd chance if it doesn't work.
- Sometimes promo codes that have expired still work.
- In general, you can only use a given promo code once per phone.
- For phones that have DMFL, the free minutes from a promo code do not get doubled.
- Codes will typically work on larger cards than the one listed, but not smaller.
