New TracFone Promo Codes for December, 2008

The TracFone website is showing new promo codes that expire December 9, 2008 along with a couple that expire in January, 2009.

57392 - 50 bonus minutes on a 200 minute card - Expires December 9, 2008

51729 - 200 bonus minutes on a 400 minute one-year card - Expires January 16, 2009

58360 - 200 bonus minutes on a 800 minute one-year DMFL card - Expires January 16, 2009

The TracFone refrigerator calendar shows the following promo codes for December, 2008:

I have a full page of tips and tricks for using TracFone promotional codes, but here's a quick list of things to keep in mind:

• Always add your airtime on the TracFone website so that you get a second chance if it doesn't work for some reason. If you try two that don't work, then close and reopen your browser before trying again.
• Sometimes promo codes that have expired still work.
• In general, you can only use a given promo code once per phone.
• For phones that have DMFL, the free minutes from a promo code do not get doubled.
• Codes will typically work on larger cards than the one listed, but not smaller.

Just a quick note to let you know that 53018 still works on a 400-minute one-year card, giving you 300 bunus minutes.

Also, when adding airtime on the website, the third attempt will always go through, bonus minutes notwithstanding. So if the third promo code is invalid, the face value of the airtime card will be added to the phone. After two failed attempts at using invalid promo codes, it's a good idea to cancel the transaction and start again.

Almost forgot: 55698 (a code from a year or two ago) once again works on a 60-minute card for at least 20 bonus minutes -- sometimes more, depending on the phone.
