TracFone was late in updating their promo codes this week, but what they lacked in speed, they made up for in quantity!
First, if you are in the market for a Double Minute For Life (DMFL) card, the time to buy is now. The TracFone website is offering the standard DMFL card for $24.99 (reg. $49.99), and the 1-year 800 minute DMFL card for $124.99 (reg. $134.99).
No promo code needed for these discounts. Nice! You should, however, be able to use an applicable promo code to get some extra free minutes even with the discounted prices. Try using 51540 to get 50 free minutes with the standard DMFL card or using 51578 to get 200 free minutes on the 1-year DMFL card.
I have seen TracFone list the expiration date for 1-year 800 minute DMFL offer as either May 5, May 14, or May 29 (depending on where you look), but I haven't seen an official expiration listed for the standard DMFL card.
Another Mother's Day special they are running is that if you order the Samsung TracFone T301G slider phone on the TracFone website you get a free TracPac carrying case, which is a $14.99 value. Hey, free is better than not free!
They also released a big batch of promo codes in honor of Mother's Day:
31738 - 100 bonus minutes on a 800 minute one-year DMFL card - Expires May 5, 2009
12336 - 250 bonus minutes on a 400 minute one-year card - Expires May 29, 2009
43665 - 50 bonus minutes on a 200 minute card - Expires May 29, 2009
52713 - 30 bonus minutes on a 120 minute card - Expires May 29, 2009
60949 - 10% off first month of 50 minute value plan - Expires May 29, 2009
47498 - 10% off first month of 100 minute value plan - Expires May 29, 2009
(Keep reading for my full current TracFone promotional code list)
The TracFone website is still running the special offer where you get free ground shipping any phone or phone/artime bundle of $19.99 or greater. No promo code necessary.
The free shipping still works if you use TracFone coupon code 23444 ($3 off any phone order or phone/airtime bundle order) on a $19.99 phone such as the Motorola W370 phone/airtime bundle. The airtime card can be added to any phone, so you can order this bundle and use the promo code to essentially get $3 off a 60 minute card. And you get a free phone too!
You can click here to go to the TracFone website to buy your airtime or phone (or redeem a TracFone airtime card you've already bought) and use your promo code.
If you want to get an email reminder whenever I update my TracFone promo code list, you can sign up on my TracFone Promo Code Newsletter page. It's quick, easy, and secure. Plus, it's a nice little reminder to use a promo code whenever you add airtime!
I have a full page of tips and tricks for using TracFone promotional codes, but here's a quick list of things to keep in mind:
- Always add your airtime on the TracFone website so that you get a second chance if it doesn't work for some reason. If you try two that don't work, then close and reopen your browser before trying again.
- Sometimes promo codes that have expired still work.
- In general, you can only use a given promo code once per phone.
- For phones that have DMFL, the free minutes from a promo code do not get doubled.
- Codes will typically work on larger cards than the one listed, but not smaller.

Keith,
first off what a great site with so much information! I wasn't sure where to post, leave my comments and of course ask my questions.
we have had Motorola V60i for a long time now without too many problems. it's time for us to renew our minutes, our service expires on the 15th of May. we have a balance of over 1200 minutes/units.
I was looking at this offer at the tracfone site, Motorola W370 Reconditioned + 1 Year Card $99.99. do you know anything about this phone and can I transfer our balance from the current phone to this one and keep the same phone number?
sorry about all the questions and thank you again.

Steve - Yes you can transfer your balance from the current phone to the new one and keep the same phone number. It's an option you can select when you activate the new phone.
My only caution is that there's a chance they'll have to mail you a different sim card for the new phone once they know you want to transfer your old number. If that happens, then you might want to add airtime to the old phone to make sure that it doesn't expire while the new sim card is on its way.
The W370 is a nice phone. It is essentially the W376G without the camera and bluetooth, and I think it would be a good replacement for a V60i.

thanks Keith
in the case of the Tracfone might having to send me a new or different sim card......would it be better to order this on the phone so I would get everything all at one time?
thanks again for your help, your suggestions and this site!

You can't really order a new card with a phone. They just put the one in that they think is best for your area. Maybe you could call customer service and order through them, but if you order through the website, you basically just have to take what they get. Going from the V60i to W370 is probably not going to cause a need for a different sim anyway, but it's always something to consider when transferring an existing number to a new phone.

If you're in a not good position and have got no cash to go out from that, you would require to take the home loans. Just because that should help you emphatically. I get short term loan every year and feel myself great just because of it.
